Ephesians 4:1-16
This is the fifth of a 6-part series on our new Vision Statement. This Sunday morning we’ll focus on the phrase, “…enfolding fellowship…” Ephesians 4 is another one of the many places in which Paul urges the church to live in unity and with a deep devotion to one another. Our unity is both our witness to the world of what God is doing in Christ (i.e. bringing all things together under him (1:10)) and essential to our becoming more like Christ. The church’s fellowship must by definition be enfolding of each member, new or old. Such unity is only achieved through genuine humility, and genuine humility is the fruit of lives that have been touched by the unmerited grace of God in Jesus Christ.
