At Calvin CRC we believe Christians are called to be generous with the resources God has entrusted to them. We are inspired to give freely of ourselves, our time, our talents and our treasures as the visible expression of our love for God.
There are a number of ways to support the ministries of our local church as well as the many other ministries that we partner with in the City of Ottawa, Classis Eastern Canada (regional group of churches) and the Christian Reformed denomination.
Donation Envelopes
Pre-numbered envelopes are provided to all members 18 years of age and older as well as regular attendees who request them. Donations in the black lettered half are for Calvin’s budget while donations in the red lettered half are for weekly causes selected by our deacons.
P.A.R – Pre-Authorized Remittance
Members can donate to the church budget via P.A.R by completing a fillable PDF authorization form indicating their bank information and the desired monthly contribution.

- Then download the form to your computer and it will become a fillable form.
- Save it to your computer,
- fill in the information from your bank and
- either drop it off at the church office at your convenience. Office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m – 2 p.m. or digitally sign it and email it to office@calvincrc.ca
The designated amount is automatically withdrawn from the member’s bank account around the 20th of each month. Members are encouraged to participate in P.A.R. as it provides the church with a regular income each month. Forms are also available in the info centre (across from the kitchen) or by contacting the church office.
All donations made via the donation envelopes and P.A.R., as well as any others identified by name or donation envelope number qualify for a charitable receipt at the end of the year.
Online Donations
Donations can also be made through Canada Helps using your credit card. When donating online, the charitable receipts are provided by the Canada Helps service. Canada Helps levies a 3.5% fee which is deducted from the donation. Click the button below to donate online.
E-transfer via email is now available.

In the comment section please specify the name of the cause to which you are donating.
- You can specify more than one cause and the amount for each cause. Don’t specify the amount if you want your contribution to be evenly divided between the causes mentioned.
- When nothing is specified, then the donation will be applied to Calvin’s budget.
- If you are asked for a password, please make the password ‘Calvincrc’.
