1 Corinthians 13: 1-7
Summary: Scripture often highlights the importance of our thought-life in our spiritual growth. For example, Jesus tells us to love God with all our mind; Paul tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind and to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. In similar fashion, we’re told in Philippians 4 to think continually on what is excellent and praiseworthy… which entails that we free our minds of things that are false, trivial, and impure. This discipline comes with the promise of God’s peace (v.9). The more we meditate on the excellent truths of our faith, the more we experience God’s peace.
