Calvin Christian Reformed Church, as one expression of God’s family, strives to be a community where every person is treated with respect and embraced in love, regardless of age, race, gender, or socio-economic status. We are committed to creating an environment that nurtures the dignity and safety of every person. We acknowledge that sin still finds expression within our church. One expression of sin is the misuse of power and abuse of other people. The spiritual root of all forms of abuse is the irresponsible use of power, including the betrayal of trust within the body of Christ. We celebrate that Christ died to set us free from the bondage of sin. But, until Christ returns, Calvin Church needs to take deliberate measures to guard against the sin of abuse. The following Safe Church Policy is one of those measures.
