Hebrews 2:10-13
Summary: The emphasis in these brief verses is on the unfathomable willingness of Jesus Christ to identify himself with sinful human beings. Together, he and the Father willed that he would become a brother to sinners and suffer in our place in order to make us all into one glorious family. The familial nature of the church is a large part of what makes the Peru trip so precious–meeting and building relationships with our brothers and sisters who share a common bond in the Saviour who loves us so deeply. Verse 13 envisions the unspeakably glorious day when Jesus will stand before the Father with all his beloved family gathered around him and say, “Here I am, and the children you have given me.”
