2019-11-17: Yet I Will Rejoice

Habakkuk 3

Summary: Habakkuk paints for us one of the most difficult realities of the life of faith–that often it requires trusting God in the face of suffering and evil that make absolutely no sense to us. As he faces the wickedness of his own nation and the impending Babylonian invasion, Habakkuk learns to lean into the promises of God that one day all things will make sense and will be made new. As Christians, we look to the cross–the greatest display of unjust suffering this world has ever seen–to be reminded that even when we cannot see it, God is yet relentlessly devoted to doing good and making all things new again.
